The Global Network for Youth Competitiveness “Hope Network”, in cooperation with the Arab Youth Centre, held a dialogue session regarding hope for the next generation on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit in Dubai.
The session was attended by Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, members of the Hope Network, and youth leaders, and was held at the Etihad Museum.
Minister Tawfiqi said youth development is a strategic priority and emphasised the need to move from long-term visions to redesigning policies, institutions and partnerships. She described the Hope Network, launched in November 2024 as a Bahraini initiative, as a platform that brings together policymakers, institutions and youth leaders to turn hope into practical systems, policies and opportunities. She said the session aimed to promote strategic dialogue on innovation, policy readiness, participation, wellbeing, skills development and trust-building.
Fatima Al Hallami, CEO of the Arab Youth Centre, said the Hope Network was launched by Bahrain’s Ministry of Youth Affairs to bring together leaders and decision-makers to discuss youth challenges in a changing world. She noted the session theme reflects a shift to an integrated strategy that views hope as a practical measure of policy effectiveness and youth participation.
The session discussed innovation and artificial intelligence, youth participation, policy readiness, mental health, quality of life, and trust between youth and institutions, and reviewed the Hope Network’s goals and working mechanism.
