Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), affirmed that Bahrain has become a global hub for youth initiatives.
Bahrain’s efforts in this area align with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, who emphasised the importance of supporting and investing in the youth sector, recognising young people as a national asset essential to progress. His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, also leads a clear vision for empowering youth and relying on them to shape a brighter, more advanced future.
The Secretary-General noted that the close oversight by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, of the Hope Network underscores his commitment to positioning Bahrain as a global leader in youth support, providing a platform for empowerment and skill-building. He said the network forms a significant international coalition of countries dedicated to inspiring youth and creating environments that nurture their ambitions for the advancement of their nations and the world.
He added that Hope Network serves as a collective platform for countries that believe in the power of instilling hope in young people and supporting them with conducive spaces for creativity and empowerment across domains, helping them become active contributors to sustainable development goals. He added the launch of Hope Network highlights Bahrain’s commitment to collaborative youth initiatives with lasting positive impacts.
Al Moayyed also noted that Bahrain is focused on engaging youth roles in all development paths and has launched the Charter of Hope, a key document among member states, which will have positive impacts on youth worldwide.
