These representatives play a key role in showcasing their nation’s Best Practices and fostering global collaboration to create positive change.

H.E. Marie Barsacq

Minister of Sports, Youth, and Community Life

Marie Barsacq was appointed French Minister of Sports, Youth, and Community Life in December 2024. With extensive experience in sports governance, she played a key role in the Paris 2024 Olympics, leading initiatives on sports impact, youth engagement, and community development.

With over a decade of experience at the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF), she focused on employment, training, and qualifications within the sports movement. She later joined the French Football Federation, where she established the Football Training Institute (IFF) and served as Deputy Director General in charge of amateur football. A law graduate from Dax, Barsacq significantly contributed to the success of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games as the Executive Director of Impact and Legacy within the Organizing Committee. In this role, she initiated various programs promoting sports and their societal impact, including the 30 Minutes of Daily Physical Activity in primary schools, the Olympic and Paralympic Week, the 1,2,3 Swim! plan, and the Impact 2024 call for projects targeting the associative sector.
