H.E. Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi serves as Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States (GCC), where he works to advance regional collaboration and strategic initiatives. Appointed in 2023, AlBudaiwi draws on his extensive diplomatic experience, previously serving as Kuwait’s Ambassador to the United States and Belgium, as well as the EU and NATO. His leadership focuses on strengthening GCC unity, addressing regional challenges, and promoting economic development and security cooperation. AlBudaiwi is committed to fostering partnerships that align with the GCC’s goals, enhancing the council's role in regional stability and global affairs.
