Ministry of Tourism and Youth

The Ministry of Tourism and Youth of the Republic of Serbia is responsible for the development of the state policy in the sectors of tourism and youth and acts as a strong link between tourism development and the improvement of young people’s lives. When it comes to youth sector, the Ministry relies on close cooperation with civil society organizations, youth associations, and local Youth Offices across the country. Through partnerships with local institutions and youth CSOs, the Ministry ensures that its policies and programs respond to the real needs of young people on the ground.
A special focus is placed on youth policy aimed at encouraging active participation of young people in society, developing their skills, and empowering them to initiate and implement their own ideas. Support for projects, non-formal education, and networking enables young people to become visible and active contributors to social development.
By merging tourism and youth sectors, new opportunities have been created for more balanced development and greater outreach to young people outside major urban centers. Tourism serves as a tool for engaging youth in rural areas through local initiatives, volunteer programs, and employment opportunities, overcoming previous centralization and strengthening local communities throughout Serbia.
