“Work Developers” is a national developmental project in Kuwait that aims to train Kuwaiti youth in both the public and private sectors, preparing them for the labor market through practical and professional training programs. The project focuses on developing young people’s skills and enhancing their knowledge to meet the needs of the Kuwaiti labor market.

 

Objectives:

  • Equip and train Kuwaiti youth.
  • Provide them with job opportunities in both the public and private sectors through specialized training programs tailored to the needs of the Kuwaiti labor market.
  • Prepare a new generation of young leaders by enhancing their skills and capabilities, empowering them to actively contribute to national development.

Positive Impact:

  • Provide job opportunities for Kuwaiti youth in both the public and private sectors.
  • Create new job opportunities for Kuwaiti youth across all sectors to advance the labor market.
  • Involve and accept approximately 1,000 young men and women in the “Work Developers” program.

 

Preparation Phase:

  • The Entrepreneurship and Labor Market Department implements the “Work Developers” project based on labor market needs, as identified by recent surveys conducted by the department to determine the types of new jobs attractive to Kuwaiti youth.
  • Partners: Private Sector – Kuwait University – Public Authority for Applied Education and Training – Ministry of Health – Public Authority for Manpower – Civil Service Bureau.
  • Committee Structure: The “Work Developers” team engages experienced professionals from various fields to help youth enhance their skills and enable them to manage human resources effectively.
  • Timeline: The project will run for a period of 4 weeks to 3 months from its launch.
  • Media Plan: Marketing conducted by both the Public Authority for Youth and the Public Authority for Manpower.

 

Participant Selection Mechanism:

  • Recent graduates (Bachelor’s or Diploma) depending on the program.
  • Required fields of specialization.
  • Applicant’s performance during the interview.
  • Cumulative GPA.

 

Participation Criteria:

  • Must be a Kuwaiti national.
  • Age between 21–34 years.
  • Participants must register through the Public Authority for Youth’s official website.
  • Degree must be valid and issued within the past 3 years.

 

Implementation Phase:

  • Applicants register via the Public Authority for Youth’s portal during specified registration periods.
  • After registration, applicants are shortlisted based on criteria through personal interviews.
  • Periodic reports are written for each program, considering any updates or new developments.

 

Post-Initiative Phase:

A comprehensive evaluation questionnaire is developed to assess youth satisfaction, with feedback collected from both participants and trainers.

  • At the conclusion of each project, a final report is prepared, outlining key strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.
  • Recommendations are reviewed and integrated to support quality assurance and drive continuous improvement.
