The Ministry of Youth and Sports of Bangladesh is the principal government body responsible for formulating and implementing policies related to youth development and sports nationwide. It works to empower young people, enhance their skills, and promote their active participation in society, while also fostering the growth of sports at both grassroots and professional levels.

The Ministry oversees key institutions such as the Directorate of Sports, the National Sports Council, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP), the Department of Youth Development, and the National Institute of Youth Development. Through these agencies, it delivers training, supports sports infrastructure, and organizes programs that encourage leadership, entrepreneurship, and community service among the country’s large youth population.

In addition to local programs, the Ministry actively collaborates with regional and international partners to expand opportunities for Bangladeshi youth and athletes.
