Marking International Youth Day, Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfeeqi, Minister of Youth Affairs, said Bahrain offers an inspiring global model for youth empowerment through the Hope Network, a platform that reflects the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She noted that the network serves as a beacon of empowerment and a source of hope for youth worldwide.
The minister said His Majesty’s commitment to supporting youth and their achievements extends beyond Bahrain, reaching young people in various countries. She highlighted the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which have played a key role in enhancing the Hope Network and advancing its strategic objectives, making it an international platform that fosters youth leadership, initiative, and entrepreneurship.
She underlined the role of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, whose approach has propelled the Bahraini initiative to achieve global reach. The network’s expanding membership and growing international impact, she said, reflect His Highness’s belief in the potential of youth to build a bright and prosperous future.
The minister commended the determination of young people to contribute to real development, expressing pride in their leadership, creativity, and perseverance. She also commended members of the Hope Network for their dedication in turning its vision into practical initiatives that serve youth worldwide.
Tawfeeqi said the Hope Network has become a distinctive global alliance of countries and institutions concerned with youth, united by the belief that hope is the gateway to their future. She added that it has become a cross continental platform attracting and guiding young minds towards comprehensive, sustainable empowerment.
The minister welcomed new members to the Hope Network: the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Syria, the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in Palestine, the Ministry of Culture and Youth in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq, the National Youth Council in Guatemala, the Youth Affairs Agency in Uzbekistan, Emirates Foundation, and Brain Bar Foundation. She commended their decision to join the network, which has become a symbol of global cooperation and a platform for ambitious youth striving for positive change.
The Hope Network is a global platform aimed at instilling hope in young people, inspiring them towards positive change and the achievement of their aspirations, while promoting solidarity and cooperation among nations through shared objectives.
