Creating a New Member Account (Country or Organization)

This guide outlines the steps to create a new member account in the admin dashboard. A member can be a country or an organization. Follow the steps carefully to ensure accurate entry and placement.

Steps to Create a New Member Account:

Step 1: Access the Members Section

  • In the WordPress admin dashboard, click on “Members” in the main menu on the left-hand side.
  • This will take you to the Members list.

Step 2: Add a New Member

  • At the top of the page, click the “Add New Member” button.
  • A new member creation screen will appear.

Step 3: Enter Member Name

  • In the title bar, type the full name of the country or organization.
  • Example: Kingdom of Bahrain or Hope Network International.

Step 4: Re-enter Member Name

  • Scroll down to the “Country/Organization Name” field and re-enter the exact name you typed in the title bar.

Step 5: Add Flag or Logo

  • In the “Country Flag / Organization Logo” field, click “Add Image”.
  • In the media library window:
    • For countries: Search for and select a rounded country flag by typing the name of the country.
    • For organizations: Upload a square logo.
  • If the image isn’t available, upload a new one directly to the media library.

Step 6: Select Continent/Region

  • Under “Continent / Region”, choose the correct continent or region that corresponds to the member.
  • This will help categorize the member accurately on the site.

Step 7: Map Marker (Home Page Display)

  • In the “Map Marker” field, type the member’s name.
  • This marker will appear on the homepage map.

Step 8: Set Latitude Coordinates

  • Use the provided map guide to determine the top (latitude) coordinates.
  • Enter the coordinates carefully.

Step 9: Set Longitude Coordinates

  • Similarly, use the map guide to find the left (longitude) coordinates.
  • Enter precise values. Use decimal points for greater accuracy. Example: 50.25.
  • Tip: If the marker is slightly off, adjust the latitude and longitude coordinates for precise placement.

Saving and Publishing the Member Profile

Step 10: Save as Draft or Publish

  • Save as Draft:
    • If the basic information is complete but you wish for the member to fill in additional details through their dashboard, click “Save Draft”.
  • Publish:
    • Once all necessary details have been entered by you or the member, click “Publish” to make the profile live.

Notes:

  • Members will have access to update their profile, manage best practices, and submit testimonials through their dashboard before and as well after their account is published.
  • Ensure that all media (flags/logos) are correctly formatted and optimized for display.
